For my 4th and 5th grade friends, hello! I have some videos for you today that I think will be a good start on our Conversational Solfege units. We have already done Unit 1 and 2 in 4th and 5th grades and we had started or worked our way mostly through Unit 3. Since we are all at home now, we will go back and review Unit 1 and work our way up through Unit 4. At each step, check your work for accuracy and if you're not sure whether you've got it, you can always send me a video of your progress here: https://forms.gle/6ugT1QWat2PKK9vC9 To start, here is a video explaining Du and Du-de! Now that you know why we use this system, how does it compare to a counting system your parents or someone else in your house used when they were learning to count rhythms? Which system do they prefer and why? Now that you've got that in your brain, here's a Mrs. Sarris video for Du and Du-de!
